Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive Community Engagement Specialist to join our Bloemfontein team. The role focuses on building strong links between the organization and diverse local communities, driving outreach, and informing program development with community input.

You will work across field-based outreach and office planning, organizing forums, and communicating initiatives to residents, leaders, and partner organizations in the Free State region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or a similar role.
• Proven ability to build rapport and work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement plans and strategies.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and public forums.
• Build and nurture relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and residents.
• Act as a liaison between the organization and the community, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Gather community feedback and insights to inform organizational planning and program development.
• Promote the organization's services and initiatives within the community through various communication channels.
