Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, or Public Administration.
• Proven experience in community development, outreach, or engagement.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance community engagement and participation in organizational programs.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and local organizations.
• Identify community needs and opportunities through active listening and dialogue.
• Facilitate community meetings, workshops, and information sessions (virtual and in-person where applicable).

About the Role

Our client, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering sustainable development and community well-being in the Northern Cape, is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Community Engagement Coordinator. This role is fully remote, allowing you to connect with and support communities across the region from your home office. You will be instrumental in building strong relationships with community members, local leaders, and stakeholders, identifying needs, and facilitating the implementation of impactful programs. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and networking skills, a deep understanding of community dynamics, and a passion for driving positive social change. You will be responsible for designing and executing engagement strategies that foster participation, build trust, and ensure our client's initiatives are responsive to local priorities. This is a key role in amplifying our client's reach and impact through collaborative community partnerships.
