The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality is seeking a Community Development Officer to lead initiatives improving residents' quality of life across Pretoria's diverse neighborhoods.

Reporting to the Senior Community Services Manager, you will design, implement, and evaluate programs addressing social welfare, youth empowerment, and community cohesion, partnering with NGOs and government departments to maximize impact.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in community development, social work, or public sector program management.
• Experience working within municipal structures or with non-profit organizations is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage community outreach programmes targeting vulnerable populations.
• Conduct needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to identify priority areas for intervention.
• Coordinate with NGOs, schools, and private sector partners to deliver integrated services and resources.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, preparing detailed reports for senior management.
• Facilitate community meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote civic participation.
• Prepare grant proposals and manage allocated budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Maintain up-to-date records of community projects, beneficiaries, and impact metrics.
