Job summary

Placements24 in Polokwane invites a dedicated Social Development Facilitator to empower communities through targeted programs in Limpopo. You will engage with residents, assess needs, and connect them with government and NGO resources to implement sustainable development initiatives.

The role requires hands-on community interaction, strong facilitation and communication skills, and a commitment to uplifting local livelihoods.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences, Community Development, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience in community development, project facilitation, or social work.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups and individuals.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages such as Sepedi is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

Facilitate workshops and training sessions on topics such as financial literacy, skills development, and small business support.
Conduct needs assessments to understand community challenges and opportunities.
Connect community members with relevant government programs, NGOs, and private sector opportunities.
Support the establishment and growth of community-based projects and initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of development programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and local stakeholders in Polokwane.
