Commissioning Engineer / Installation Manager (Senior Profile)
Note: this position requires relocation to the Netherlands!
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will work on projects that enable the energy supply of the future. They are involved in the generation of sustainable energy, public transport and the expansion of networks for regional grid operators. It is an ambitious team that operates nationwide.
What will you do as a Commissioning Engineer / Installation Manager?
- Responsible for quality/process (verification and Validation);
- Responsible for test management incl making test management plan and test reports.
- Communicate with third parties as venders to manage the technical interface
- Manage the interface with Industrial Automation (PLC/SCADA)
- Coldwire testing
- Functional testing
- Adjust and check protection systems
- Be aware of all the regulations (NEN/ICE etc)
- Lead and assess FAT, SAT and SIT
- Responsible for as-built
- Knowledge about HV systems
- Height safety awareness.
- 60% it is on site. For the other 40% it is in the office (preparing, (de)briefing, admin etc).
- Site can be anywhere in The Netherlands depending on the project. So commute time varies from 0,5h to 2,5h depending on the location.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Red Seal Certified Electrician
- ORHVS: Operating regulations for HV system certification
- Switching and protection practical experience
- Vast experience in commissioning, work manager or a similar role.
- Strong background working with complex MV/HV electrical systems.
- Experience with complex electrical installations and knowledge of high-voltage installations including switchgears.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English, and eager to learn Dutch.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems like BESS is a plus
- Knowledge of automation systems is a plus.
- Willingness to take courses and obtain certificates.
- Must be fluent Afrikaans.
