Job summary

Mondelēz International – Manufacturing Core in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, is seeking a Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, service and maintain a range of display cases, walk-ins and other cooling equipment for retail, hospitality and industrial clients.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, comply with safety and environmental standards, and work across the Eastern Cape to ensure uninterrupted operation and minimal product loss.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Technician or similar field.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and mechanical systems.
• Certification in handling refrigerants and understanding environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install new commercial refrigeration units according to specs.
• Perform maintenance including coils cleaning and refrigerant checks.
• Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize product loss.
