Qualifications

• Trade qualification or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience as Industrial Maintenance Technician.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

Our client, a major industrial facility in Soweto, Gauteng , is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician specializing in industrial machinery. This is a critical on-site role focused on ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all production equipment. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and contributing to preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with industrial machinery, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure that all equipment operates reliably, contributing directly to the plant's overall productivity and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in production machinery.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand equipment specifications.
• Maintain a log of all maintenance activities, including repairs and scheduled services.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements
