Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Pilot with an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license to join our flight operations in Centurion, Gauteng. You will command commercial aircraft, conduct pre-flight checks, and ensure strict regulatory compliance while coordinating with crew and ATC.

Applicants must have 3,000+ total flight hours, including 1,000 PIC hours, and possess type ratings (B737/A320) if possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Command and operate commercial aircraft safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies, flight schedules, and regulatory requirements.


• Conduct pre-flight inspections, including aircraft systems, weather conditions, and flight plans.


• Ensure all flight operations comply with Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions and aviation regulations.


• Manage flight deck operations, including crew coordination (CRM) and decision-making under various conditions.


• Monitor aircraft systems and performance throughout the flight, taking corrective action as necessary.


• Maintain accurate flight logs and operational records.


• Communicate effectively with ground staff, air traffic control, and cabin crew.


• Respond to and manage emergency situations calmly and professionally.


• Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, punctuality, and conduct.

Requirements

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license issued by a recognized aviation authority (e.g., SA-CAA).


• Minimum of 3000 hours of total flight time, with at least 1000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).


• Specific type ratings for the airline's fleet (e.g., Boeing 737, Airbus A320) are highly advantageous.


• Current medical certificate (Class 1).


• Thorough knowledge of aviation regulations, flight planning, meteorology, and aircraft systems.


• Excellent Crew Resource Management (CRM) and decision-making skills.


• Proven ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies effectively.
