Job summary

Cecile Personnel (Pty) Ltd in Sandton is seeking an experienced attorney to manage a diverse commercial litigation caseload, draft pleadings and other documents, and provide strategic litigation guidance. The ideal candidate holds an LLB, has 4+ years post-admission experience, and a proven Commercial Litigation background with High Court and Magistrates’ Court exposure.

You will work independently from inception to completion, liaise with counsel, build client relationships and support senior

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ post-admission experience.
• Proven experience in Commercial Litigation.
• Strong drafting and legal research skills.
• Experience handling High Court and Magistrates’ Court matters.
• Strong understanding of commercial dispute resolution and litigation processes.
• Ability to manage matters independently from inception to completion.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse commercial litigation caseload.
• Draft pleadings, notices, affidavits, opinions and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice.
• Attend client consultations and provide strategic litigation guidance.
• Handle matters in the High Court and Magistrates’ Court.
• Brief and liaise with counsel where required.
• Manage files and ensure matters progress efficiently.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support senior attorneys.
• Drafting various documents including inter alia: pleadings, affidavits, agreements and general correspondence
