Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a Commercial Appliance Repair Technician to maintain the reliability of ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and laundry machines for restaurants, hotels, hospitals and other sites. You will diagnose faults, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of commercial equipment.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to read manuals and schematics, and clear communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing commercial appliances across cooking, refrigeration and laundry equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in commercial cooking, refrigeration, and laundry equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and service on a variety of commercial appliances.
• Install new commercial appliances as per manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information.
• Identify necessary parts and order them for repairs, managing inventory effectively.
• Provide customers with clear explanations of issues and the repair process.
• Ensure all repairs are completed efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
