Placements24 is seeking a Commercial Contracts Lawyer in Sandton, Gauteng, to draft, review, and negotiate supplier agreements, service agreements, leases, software licenses, and marketing contracts, collaborating with procurement, sales, marketing and IT.

The role requires admission as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with 4–6 years PQE in commercial contracts, and you will provide practical, commercially oriented legal advice while managing multiple contracts and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with 4-6 years post-qualification experience focused on commercial contracts.
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating a diverse range of commercial agreements.
• Solid understanding of contract law, consumer protection law, and other relevant commercial legislation.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service agreements, leases, marketing agreements, and software licenses.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risks, liabilities, and obligations.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
• Manage the contract review and approval process efficiently.
• Maintain a central repository of contracts and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Provide legal support for procurement processes and tender evaluations.
• Assist in resolving contractual disputes and interpreting contract terms.
