Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join their team in East London, SA. You will analyze blueprints, specs, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial projects, collaborating with project managers and procurement to drive profitable bids.

You will perform quantity take-offs, evaluate material, labor and equipment costs, solicit bids from subcontractors, identify risks, and present proposals to management and clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, with a focus on commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
• Experience using estimating software and spreadsheets for detailed cost analysis.

This role is vital in accurately forecasting the costs associated with commercial construction projects, enabling informed decision-making and competitive bidding. You will analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates, working closely with project managers and procurement teams. Key Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and other tender documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately.
• Experience working in the East London construction market is a plus.
