Placements24 is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to support projects across the Northern Cape, based out of Kimberley. This role requires detailed cost analyses from bid through tender submission and collaboration with project teams to optimize costs.

The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years of estimating experience, proficiency in estimating software and Excel, and strong analytical/numerical skills to ensure competitive pricing and accurate bid submissions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other bid documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals and tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to review estimates and provide cost-saving recommendations.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of costs, suppliers, and historical project data for future estimating purposes.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join their dynamic team, supporting projects across the Northern Cape , based out of Kimberley . You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects, from initial bid preparation through to tender submission. This role requires a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and market costs, as well as the ability to analyze project plans and specifications thoroughly. The successful candidate will play a critical role in securing new business opportunities for our client by providing precise and reliable costings for projects in Kimberley and the surrounding regions.
