Job summary

Greys Personnel is seeking a seasoned candidate for a pivotal role in cold storage logistics. You will oversee receiving and dispatch processes, ensure accuracy and product integrity, and maintain HACCP documentation within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal incumbent has extensive experience in supply chain and warehousing, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while making quick decisions.

Qualifications

• Matric/Senior Certificate and SCM qualification are required.
• At least 35 years of experience in supply chain, warehousing or cold storage.
• Experience in a cold-storage environment is essential.
• Experience with receiving and dispatching goods.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the effective receiving of goods.
• Check incoming goods for accuracy, quantity and condition.
• Manage and monitor the dispatching of goods to local customers.
• Ensure products are handled correctly during loading and off-loading to prevent damage.
• Complete and maintain HACCP documentation and protocols.
• Ensure cold-store procedures and food-safety requirements are followed.
• Identify and report discrepancies, damaged goods or issues with receiving and dispatch.
• Assist in other operational areas when required.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping throughout receiving and dispatch.
• Work independently and use initiative to resolve day-to-day operational issues.

• Matric / Senior Certificate Supply Chain Management qualification required
• 35 years experience within Supply Chain, Warehousing or Cold Storage
• Previous experience working in a cold-storage environment is essential
• Experience with receiving and dispatching goods
• Good understanding of HACCP procedures and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Ability to think on your feet and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment
