Job summary

Fouche & Co Recruitment is seeking an experienced logistics supervisor for a busy food wholesale operation in Richards Bay. The role focuses on inbound receiving, outbound dispatch, and strict cold-chain management across retail, production and wholesale supply.

You will supervise a team, enforce HACCP and hygiene standards, conduct stocktakes, and ensure accurate loading, packing and on-time deliveries in a fast-paced environment. Early starts and physical work are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in receiving, dispatch, warehouse or logistics in food, meat, FMCG or cold-chain environments.
• Strong knowledge of temperature control and FIFO/FEFO principles.
• Familiarity with stock systems and delivery notes; basic Excel or ERP usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise inbound deliveries of carcasses, primals, and supplies, verifying quantities, grades and temperatures.
• Manage outbound dispatch, ensuring accurate pick lists, packing and loading on time.
• Maintain rigorous cold-chain control and temperature monitoring across fridges and freezers (FIFO/FEFO).
• Conduct cycle counts, stocktakes and investigate shrink or short-dated stock.
• Enforce HACCP, hygiene standards and compliance for audits.
• Lead, roster and train receiving, dispatch and driving staff in a fast-paced early-start environment.
