Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) registration with ECSA.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, Revit).
• Knowledge of relevant South African building regulations and standards, including those for coastal construction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various types of buildings and infrastructure, including residential, commercial, and marine structures.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using specialized software.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure integrated and efficient project delivery.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, particularly those related to coastal environments.
