Placements24 is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day construction activities in Mossel Bay. You will coordinate labour, manage materials, and ensure projects meet design specs, quality standards, and timelines.

This role provides exposure to diverse coastal projects with a strong focus on safety, cost control, and mentorship for emerging engineers within a hands-on development environment.

Qualifications

• BSc or BTech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 3 years of site supervision or construction engineering experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
• Enforce site safety plans and health & safety regulations.
• Manage resources including labour, materials and equipment.
• Monitor progress and report deviations from schedules.
• Ensure work meets required quality standards and specs.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and project team to resolve issues.
