Job summary

The Recruitment Council is seeking a strategic Broker Regional Sales Manager for the Coastal Region (Durban). You will lead the regional broker distribution strategy, drive growth in GWP and market share, and manage a team of Specialist Market Advisers to deliver profitable results.

You will build strong broker partnerships, ensure governance, and execute plans aligned with regional objectives while maintaining regulatory compliance within the short-term insurance landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, finance, insurance, or CFP.
• FAIS compliance with RE1 and RE5.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in insurance distribution, broker management, or commercial insurance leadership.
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience leading geographically dispersed sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional sales and distribution plans aligned to the IFA Channel strategy and business objectives.
• Drive growth in GWP, policy count, retention, and profitability across allocated broker segments.
• Identify regional market opportunities and implement growth initiatives to improve broker productivity and market penetration.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, brokerage principals, and distribution partners.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Specialist Market Advisers to achieve sales and service objectives.
