Job summary

Citra (citra.build) in Cape Town seeks a Technical Draughtsperson to bridge design and CNC manufacturing. You will transform IFC models into high-fidelity shop drawings and CNC-ready files for hotwire cutting machines, ensuring precise fabrication and tight tolerances.

Working in an international, creative team, you will develop 3D models and 2D drawings in Revit and Rhino, coordinating with Production to optimize paths and minimize waste. This role combines digital design with physical output.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Revit with detailed modeling and families.
• Experience in Rhino and Grasshopper for complex geometries.
• Solid BIM knowledge: LOD 400 and data exchange workflows.
• 3+ years in production, fabrication, or construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and 2D shop drawings for CNC readiness.
• Translate IFC models to CNC-ready files for hotwire machines.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production to optimize cut paths.
• Identify clashes and ensure fabrication tolerances.
