Placements24 is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator for their production facility in Klerksdorp, South Africa. This hands-on role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precise parts according to specifications.

You will read blueprints, measure with calipers and micrometers, perform quality checks, and ensure safety protocols while keeping machines running efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Machine Operator or similar in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Understanding of CNC programming and machine setup procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform maintenance.
• Commitment to safety regulations and quality standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling and/or turning machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
• Perform quality checks on finished products using measuring instruments to verify dimensions and specifications.
• Maintain machines, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot minor operational issues.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Record production data accurately and report any deviations or issues to supervisors.
