Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join a fully remote team. The role focuses on designing scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and migrating on‑premises systems to the cloud, with leadership across engineering and operations.

You will work across AWS, Azure, or GCP, using IaC and containerization to deliver reliable cloud services and drive digital transformation from anywhere in the world.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years experience as Cloud Architect or similar role.
• Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with network architecture, security, and cloud databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and implement cloud migration strategies for on‑premises systems.
• Define and enforce cloud security, governance, and compliance.
• Optimize cloud performance, cost, and reliability through monitoring and automation.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect robust, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS , Azure, or GCP.
• Develop and implement cloud migration strategies for existing on-premises applications and infrastructure.
• Define and enforce cloud security best practices, governance policies, and compliance requirements.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability through monitoring and automation.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of cloud services.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud technologies and architectural best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience (6+ years) as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role, designing and implementing complex cloud environments.
• Deep expertise with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS , Azure, GCP), including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM.
• Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with network architecture, security principles, and database management in the cloud.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
