Job summary

Financial Intelligence Centre is seeking a seasoned System Administrator to support and maintain server infrastructure and cloud-based services in a secure, compliant environment. The role covers Microsoft cloud platforms, security solution design, and incident resolution across multiple server environments.

You will ensure continuous service availability, manage backups, and contribute to governance and documentation while collaborating with IT staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ICT qualification at NQF Level 5 or Diploma required.
• Two or more Microsoft 365/Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Security Engineer Associate).
• Minimum 3 years in System Administration.
• Minimum 3 years VMware Administration experience.
• Minimum 3 years Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
• Minimum 1 year Cloud Management experience.
• PowerShell proficiency advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support all server infrastructure and applications across environments.
• Maintain Microsoft cloud platforms including Office 365, mobility and security stack.
• Assist in design, build and deployment of Microsoft cloud security solutions.
• Implement security controls and manage identity, access, data protection.
• Provide second- and third-line support to IT staff and service desk.
• Research enhancements to security posture using leading industry practices.
• Perform deployments, upgrades and patch management across environments.
• Contribute to IT operational projects as needed.
• Monitor service availability and troubleshoot issues to support hosting environment.
• Maintain business continuity and recovery environments.
• Monitor performance and tune systems for optimal operations.
• Document issues and track progress in the ticketing system.
• Advantageous: experience with Microsoft 365 services, Exchange, backup and device management.
