Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Cloud Security Analyst for AI training projects. Work remotely on an hourly contract, 10–40 hours per week, with responsibilities spanning AWS, GCP, and Azure security review and incident analysis.

You will evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security, identify misconfigurations, and provide actionable feedback to improve AI reasoning about cloud incidents.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on production cloud experience.
• Understand IAM, networking, storage and container security.
• Familiar with misconfigurations, blast radius and cloud incidents.
• Able to reason about risk and business impact.

Responsibilities

• Analyze real-world cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns.
• Review IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues with a practitioner's eye.
• Classify security gaps, misconfigurations, and cloud-related failures based on real-world impact.
• Validate and improve AI-generated security reasoning so it reflects how cloud incidents unfold.
• Provide structured, expert feedback to help AI systems think like a seasoned cloud security engineer.

What You'll Do

• Analyze real-world cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks and failure patterns
• Review IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues with a practitioner's eye

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience working with cloud environments in production
• Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts
• Familiarity with real-world misconfigurations, blast radius analysis, and security incidents
• Able to reason clearly about risk exposure and business impact
• Self-directed and comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., Wiz, Prisma, AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center)
• Background in incident response, penetration testing, or cloud compliance
• Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud, CSA CCM, or CIS Benchmarks
