Job summary

LabourLinq Recruitment seeks a Cloud Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of an enterprise Cloud Platform. The role covers defining the strategy, backlog, and cross-functional collaboration to enable secure, scalable cloud solutions.

The position is a 6–12 month contract with a hybrid model: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote in Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in cloud or digital platforms.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure; AWS is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Platform Engineering and Cloud Operations.
• Experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, platform services and FinOps.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage the Cloud Platform vision and roadmap.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Security and Infrastructure teams.
• Drive cloud platform adoption and continuous improvement.
• Balance reliability, security, performance and cost optimisation.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and product governance.

Cloud Product Owner – Johannesburg or Pretoria (Hybrid)

Contract: 6–12 months (project dependent)

Hybrid: 3 days onsite | 2 days remote

Our client is seeking an experienced Cloud Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of their enterprise Cloud Platform, enabling secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS advantageous)
• Strong understanding of Platform Engineering and Cloud Operations
• Experience with DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and platform services
• Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimisation
• Product roadmap and backlog management experience
• Strong stakeholder management and value realisation skills
• Financial Services experience advantageous
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred
