Job summary
LabourLinq Recruitment in Johannesburg or Pretoria is seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI and Generative AI products that drive business value, operational efficiency, and enhanced customer experiences.
You will define the product vision, own the backlog, identify high-impact AI use cases, and collaborate with business, data, AI engineering, and architecture teams to realise measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in AI or data-driven products.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices.
- Experience delivering AI, data, or digital products.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI use cases.
- Roadmap and backlog management experience.
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience measuring product success via KPIs and value realisation.
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Define the AI product vision and roadmap.
- Own and prioritise the product backlog.
- Identify and prioritise AI and Generative AI use cases.
- Collaborate with business, data, AI Engineering, and Architecture teams.
- Monitor product adoption and business outcomes.

- Proven experience as a Product Owner
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience delivering AI, Data, or Digital products
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies and use cases
- Product roadmap and backlog management experience
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder management skills
- Experience measuring product success through KPIs and value realisation
- Financial Services experience advantageous
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager certification preferred
