Placements24 is seeking an experienced Cloud Network Architect to design, implement, and manage cloud-native network solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The role is remote-first, with a focus on secure, scalable, and highly available architectures for telecom-related services.

You will drive cloud networking strategy, enforce security policies, and automate provisioning while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in network architecture with 3+ years in cloud networking.
• Proven design/deployment experience on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of VPC/VNet, Load Balancers, DNS, VPN, Transit Gateway.
• Proficient in Python or Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure cloud networks across multi-clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop cloud networking strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Define and enforce network security policies, access controls, and compliance standards within the cloud.
• Manage and optimize cloud network performance, including VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Automate network provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate network solutions seamlessly.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud networking issues and provide timely resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud networking technologies and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network architecture and engineering, with at least 3 years focused on cloud networking.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying networks on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of core cloud networking concepts (VPC, VNet, Load Balancers, DNS, VPN, Transit Gateway).
• Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Solid knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and WAFs in a cloud context.
• Experience with container networking (e.g., Kubernetes networking) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fully remote environment.
