We’re seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping, scaling, and securing our technology platforms. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and system reliability.

You’ll lead critical infrastructure initiatives, set technical direction, and act as a mentor to the platform engineering team—while collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align technology with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the organization’s infrastructure strategy
• Design scalable, reliable, and resilient technology platforms
• Partner with senior leadership to align infrastructure initiatives with business objectives
• Provide expert-level leadership in managing and optimizing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Define and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, security, and cost optimization
• Lead the design and maintenance of advanced automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• Implement robust orchestration workflows to automate complex deployments and configurations

Performance Optimization & Scalability

• Oversee system performance tuning and capacity planning
• Lead infrastructure scaling initiatives to support business growth and evolving requirements

Security & Compliance Leadership

• Establish and enforce security standards and compliance frameworks across infrastructure components
• Lead efforts to maintain a secure, compliant, and resilient technology environment
• Provide technical leadership to the platform engineering team
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth
• Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement

Incident Response & Problem Solving

• Lead incident response and participate in complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Proactively identify risks and address potential issues to ensure system stability and uptime

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, system administration, or a related role
• Expert proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Extensive experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and advanced cloud services
• Strong hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and modern DevOps practices
• Advanced understanding of cybersecurity principles, networking concepts, and protocols
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and collaborate across the organization
• Relevant cloud or platform engineering certifications
