The role focuses on transitioning from on-premise to cloud, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and Snowflake-based infrastructure in a hybrid Cape Town setting. You will own projects and progressively move toward senior responsibilities.

The ideal candidate is eager to lead technically, mentor juniors, and work independently in a dynamic data environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern data technologies.
• Ability to work independently while developing technical leadership.
• Interest in mentoring junior engineers.

Responsabilités

• Support a transition from on-premise infrastructure to the cloud.
• Work with AWS and Kubernetes across modern data infrastructure.
• Build and maintain solutions using Snowflake, PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
• Collaborate with the technical lead on engineering design and architectural decisions.
• Take ownership of projects while developing towards a senior-level position.
