Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Clinical Trial Manager to oversee complex trials in the Eastern Cape region, including Queenstown. You will lead planning, execution, and successful completion of studies, ensuring timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards are met across sites and CROs.

You will manage trial operations, data collection, and regulatory submissions with a strong focus on leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management to deliver innovative therapies to patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a scientific or healthcare-related field.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in clinical trial management.
• Extensive knowledge of GCP and regulatory submission requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trials across therapeutic areas.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive trial protocols, project plans, and budgets.
• Select, qualify, and manage trial sites, ensuring patient recruitment and retention.
• Oversee day-to-day trial operations including monitoring, data collection, and query resolution.
• Ensure compliance with GCP, FDA (where applicable) and local regulations.
• Manage CROs and other vendors.
• Lead and mentor research staff to foster high performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive clinical trial protocols, project plans, and budgets.
• Select, qualify, and manage clinical trial sites, ensuring timely patient recruitment and retention.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of clinical trials, including monitoring, data collection, and query resolution.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including GCP, FDA, and local regulations.
• Manage relationships with contract research organizations (CROs) and other vendors.

Requirements
