Job summary

Netcare Pharmacies is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician to manage and maintain medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Health Technology Regulations. The role includes CMMS (SAP PM) implementation, audits, budgeting, and collaboration with suppliers.

The position also involves training CETAs, reporting equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with national standards. A proactive technician with strong documentation skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS SAP PM for medical equipment maintenance.
• Ability to manage and document maintenance, repairs and replacements.
• Familiarity with equipment barcoding and asset tracking.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all medical equipment per manufacturer specs and health regulations.
• Implement and maintain CMMS (SAP PM) for equipment.
• Conduct six monthly equipment audits and maintain CMMS data accuracy.
• Plan services and coordinate with suppliers for preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Ensure commissioning tests and documentation for new/demo/loan equipment.
• Provide training and mentorship to CETAs and students; act as line manager when needed.
• Report on equipment maintenance, costs, and trends to management.
