Job summary

Netcare is seeking a Clinical Engineering Technician to manage and maintain medical equipment across hospital sites in Gauteng, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and Health Technology Regulations. You will coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance using the CMMS (SAP PM).

You will participate in equipment audits, manage asset data, and support budgeting for replacement and maintenance of capital equipment.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF level 6)
• Eligible for professional registration as Technician with ECSA
• 1 year maintenance/management experience of medical equipment in hospitals

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain medical equipment per manufacturer specs
• Implement and maintain CMMS (SAP PM) for medical equipment
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance in line with regulations
• Conduct equipment audits and maintain CMMS data
• Support budgeting and procurement for capital equipment purchases
• Provide training and mentorship to CETAs and students
• Report to Clinical Engineering Manager/Technical Services Manager
