Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is hiring a Branch Advisor to deliver compliant financial guidance and exceptional service in a high-volume POP setting. You will educate customers on the right channels, manage relationships, and uphold FAIS/TCF standards while contributing to branch goals.

The role emphasizes customer-centric advice, ethical conduct, and ongoing professional development within a supportive, brand-focused environment.

Qualifications

NQF Level 5 Banking/Business Admin/Customer Service qualifications recognized by FAIS.
1–3 years of experience in customer-facing environments within financial services.

Responsibilities

Build and manage long-term client relationships to support retention and growth.
Provide a positive customer experience by being helpful and responsive to transactional needs.
Educate customers to the correct banking channel aligned with their needs.
Come across as brand ambassador by living the 'how can we help you?' ethos.
Analyze customer data and provide appropriate financial advice in line with FAIS.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
Achieve individual and branch sales and service targets.
Conduct yourself ethically and stay compliant with industry regulations.
Take accountability for performance and professional development.
Show empathy and stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge.
Manage leads, referrals, and client follow-ups within agreed timelines.
