Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Clerk: Pickwave to support our warehouse operations in Kempton Park. The role involves ensuring orders are picked and released to meet loading times, resolving stock issues, and maintaining accurate stock reports.

You will coordinate with internal teams to achieve KPIs and ensure safe, compliant handling of pallets and shipments. The successful candidate will have Matric (Grade 12), about 3 years of warehouse experience, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

Matric (Grade 12) – Essential.
Warehouse experience approximately 3 years preferred.
English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

Carry out duties to agreed performance levels for warehouse admin tasks.
Ensure orders are picked and released according to loading times.
Reconcile stock quantities and update the Vehicle Register and reports.
Communicate with internal departments to meet KPIs.
Sign off documentation including delivery notes and pallet labels.
Support stock takes and maintain product safety, quality and integrity.

Role Outline

To carry out duties to agreed levels of performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative processes. To ensure that orders are picked to completion. To view loads on shipment cockpit and release according to loading times. Resolve stock issues and ensure checking is completed to issue a report log.

Key Responsibilities

Resolve all stock issues to ensure checking is completed
Release shipments to ensure continuity of material handling equipment
Material handling equipment KPI's being achieved
Ensure orders are picked on completion
Pick variance report
Communicate with the various companies and internal departments to ensure KPI's are met
Signs off the pallet documentation and endorses the number of pallets received.
Reports all issues and problems to the respective Supervisors and Controllers.
Summarize all daily vehicles received and dispatched onto the Vehicle Register.
Reconcile consignment stock quantities to checkers blind tally and carry out recounts for all discrepancies.
Sign all relevant documentation with regard to consignments i.e. delivery notes, Chep document, security seal document etc.
Ensure that the correct pallet license labels are applied to correct pallets of stock received.
Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated and counter signed by the driver.
Appropriately investigate and correct all receiving discrepancies and exception reports.
To close out and release shipments within the agreed time
Ensuring of zero damages to incoming loads.
Active participation in stock take planning, preparation and physical count.
Adhere to the units SHE rules and best practice.
Ensure the product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised.
Report any persons behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality or integrity of the stored product
