Job summary

Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain hygiene standards across client facilities in Gauteng. You will handle routine cleaning tasks, manage waste, and ensure adherence to safety guidelines. The role requires reliability, good communication, and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate has basic hygiene knowledge, experience with cleaning equipment, and a pro-active team attitude in line with client policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as a Cleaner in cleaning/hygiene is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of general hygiene practices and cleaning products and SOP applications.
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment and products.
• Ability to work extended hours including overtime, weekends and public holidays.
• Preference given to candidates from the local area where the office/position is based.
• OHS act requirements adhered to for site-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Proper cleaning of toilets, equipment, offices, state property and assets.
• Ensure effective use of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Empty dustbins daily and dispose of refuse in standard bins.
• Collect paper waste for recycling as applicable.
• Check bathrooms twice daily and clean accordingly.
• Dust furniture timeously.
• Vacuum carpets at least twice per week where applicable.
• Clean windows inside per SLA.
• Store cleaning equipment and products neatly in designated cupboards.

Job description

• Basic knowledge of general hygiene practices and cleaning products and standard Operation Procedure (SOP) applications.
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment and products.
• Ability to work extended hours including overtime, weekends and public holidays.
• Basic service excellence skills – customer interface
• Knowledge of facility layout
• Ability to use a variety of cleaning equipment and products.
• Basic literacy and communication skills
• Understanding of company and client policies and procedures
• Preference will be given to candidates from the local area where the office and/or position will be based.
