Morton Moore Pty Ltd in Kloof seeks an experienced and assertive Claims Handler to manage personal and commercial lines claims end-to-end. You will register, assess, and finalise claims, appoint assessors, and liaise with clients and insurers to expedite settlements.

The role requires FAIS qualification in both lines, RE5 or equivalent regulatory exams completed, and at least 5 years of relevant experience in a fully office-based environment.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years' experience in personal and commercial lines claims.
• FAIS qualified in both personal and commercial lines.
• Regulatory Examinations (e.g. RE5) completed.

Aufgaben

• Manage and process personal and commercial lines claims from registration to finalisation.
• Register new claims and ensure all supporting documentation is obtained and captured.
• Appoint and brief assessors, and follow up on assessment reports.
• Authorise repairs and replacements within mandate and policy terms.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, assessors and service providers to move claims efficiently.
• Keep clients informed of progress and outcomes in a timely manner.
• Review policy wordings to confirm cover and identify claim issues.
• Negotiate settlements with service providers and insurers.
• Maintain accurate claim records on internal systems.
• Follow up on outstanding claims to meet deadlines.
• Resolve queries and escalated complex or disputed claims.
• Ensure claims handling complies with FAIS and regulatory requirements.
