MiWay is seeking a field assessor to evaluate damaged vehicles, identify required repairs, and estimate costs and timeframes for settlements. This role supports claims handling by mitigating vehicle spend, generating reports, and discussing damage with clients and insurers.
Required are Grade 12, VDQ qualification, and workshop/motor industry exposure, with 2–4 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.

The field assessor assesses damaged vehicles to identify and record theextent of the damage. This includes assessing safety systems, decidingwhether to repair, replace and estimating approximate costs andtimeframes for required repair.This role supports the claims handling philosophy by mitigating risk ofvehicle spend (quantification, identification, and validation of vehicle). The assessor generates claims reports and investigative reports, determinesmarket value for settlements, is up to date with automobile-related healthand safety legislation and industry repair methods and has excellentinteractive skills to discuss the damage and required repairs with clients,insurers, supervisors, and team members.
