Job summary

FirstRand Short Term Insurance in Johannesburg is seeking a Hello Future Motor Claims Handler to assess, investigate, and validate complex long-term motor claims, ensuring alignment with governance and service standards while prioritising customer experience and risk mitigation.

You will manage motor claims from registration to finalization, maintain deadlines, handle complaints, and work in a collaborative, agile environment that supports ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Matric is essential and a higher qualification is advantageous.
• Rational decision making in sensitive motor claims and strong customer focus.
• 2-3 years in claims call center, 1-2 years in motor claims preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administrate short-term motor claims from registration to finalization.
• Assess, investigate, and validate complex long-term motor claims.
• Ensure turnaround times are met and customer experience is prioritized.

This job requires sound judgment to manage sensitive claims such as funeral, death, disability, dread disease, and retrenchment, while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience and risk mitigation.

• Manage the claim from the claim registration to finalization

• Manage your time to ensure all short-term motor claims are attended to in set turnaround times

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

• Matric is essential
• Have an NQF Level 5 Certificate would be advantageous
• Have 2-3 years' experience in claims call center environment, of which 1 to 2 years ideally in a Motor Claims
