Job summary

RPO Recruitment’s client, a renowned engineering consulting firm in the Western Cape, seeks an experienced Civil Engineering Technologist to join their Cape Town team. You will support the planning, design and implementation of building civils, with a focus on bulk earthworks, municipal services, roads and stormwater.

Responsibilities include design and detailing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, producing drawings and reports, site inspections, contract administration, and ensuring compliance with

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant civil infrastructure design and site experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other design software.
• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
• Valid South African driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and detailing of civil engineering projects (roads, stormwater, water supply, sewers) and bulk earthworks.
• Prepare engineering drawings, documentation, and reports using CAD and civil design software.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with contract administration and quality control.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and clients to deliver on time and within budget.
• Provide technical support during construction and resolve site-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with SANS, municipal bylaws and other regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to tenders, cost estimates and feasibility studies.
