Ideal candidates will have a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and ECSA registration or candidacy, plus 4 years

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Registration as a Pr. Eng. Techn. or Candidate Technician with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician with exposure to municipal infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other Civil Engineering design software.
• Good understanding of South African municipal standards and by-laws.
• Strong drafting and documentation skills.
• Ability to perform basic engineering calculations and analysis.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hybrid work environment availability and willingness to travel to sites in Paarl and Western Cape.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and drafting of civil engineering infrastructure plans (roads, water, sewer).
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation using CAD software.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction supervision and quality control.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and data analysis.
• Assist in preparing project reports and documentation.
• Liaise with contractors, site personnel, and municipal officials.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations for municipal infrastructure.
• Support the project team in planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate project records and as-built drawings.
