Placements24 is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer for the Roads and Stormwater division in Soweto. This entry-level role focuses on helping design transportation and drainage infrastructure, with supervision from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering degree.
Entry-level position with strong academic foundation.
Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD) and basic engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of road alignments, pavement structures, and intersection layouts.
Support the development of stormwater management plans, including culverts and drainage systems.
Conduct site investigations and gather data for design purposes.
Prepare engineering drawings and documentation using CAD software under supervision.
Assist in the preparation of project reports, specifications, and bills of quantities.
Learn and apply relevant design standards and software tools pertinent to road and stormwater engineering.
