Placements24 is seeking a qualified Civil Engineering Surveyor for its Sandton operations. The role focuses on accurate topographic surveys, setting out control points, and delivering precise data for design and as-built records.

The ideal candidate has a National Diploma or Degree in Surveying/Geomatics or Civil Engineering, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Surveyor or similar.
• Proficiency with total stations, GPS/GNSS, and data collection devices.
• Competence in CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographical, boundary, and construction surveys with advanced equipment.
• Set out control points and staking for excavation, foundations, and infrastructure.
• Perform earthwork volume calculations for stockpiles and sites.
• Process survey data and produce drawings/reports using CAD/GIS tools.
• Adhere to quality standards and safety protocols on site.
• Coordinate with engineers and site teams to meet survey requirements.
