Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with strong Project Management to lead water-related infrastructure projects in Stellenbosch. You will oversee the full lifecycle from conception and design through construction and handover, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and high quality while coordinating teams and stakeholders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with at least 7 years in civil engineering and 3 years in PM, plus Pr Eng registration with ECSA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years in civil engineering, with 3+ years in project management.
• Experience in water infrastructure projects (pipelines, reservoirs, treatment plants).
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• Strong contract management and procurement knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil engineering projects, particularly water infrastructure, including planning, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including feasibility studies, designs, and tender documents.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with strong Project Management skills to lead water-related infrastructure projects in the Stellenbosch area. This role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from conception and design through to construction and handover, with a focus on water supply, distribution, and treatment systems. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while managing project teams and engaging with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
