Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Childminder Coordinator to oversee a network of childcare providers in the George region. The role ensures quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across affiliated childminders, acting as liaison between providers, parents, and regulators.

You will recruit, train, and support childminders, conduct site visits, and maintain accurate records while developing policies to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Must hold a qualification in Early Childhood Development, Social Work, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise/co-ordinate childcare networks.
• Sound knowledge of SA childcare regulations, licensing and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, vet, and onboard new childminders, ensuring regulatory standards are met.
• Conduct regular site visits and assessments for safety and quality.
• Provide ongoing training and professional development for registered childminders.
• Mediate issues between childminders and parents to reach satisfactory resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records of childminders, children in care, and compliance data.
• Develop and implement policies to improve quality and consistency of services.
