Placements24 is seeking an experienced Childcare Center Director for a premier facility in Sandton, Gauteng. This on-site leadership role drives overall management, strategic direction, and the delivery of high-quality childcare services.

The ideal candidate has a relevant degree, at least 7 years in childcare with 3+ in management, strong knowledge of early childhood education, and proven financial oversight to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 7+ years of childcare experience with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of ECD pedagogy, regulations and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee center operations, staffing, curriculum implementation and daily activities.
• Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and licensing requirements.
• Recruit, train and manage a team of childcare professionals.
• Develop and manage the center’s budget and resource allocation.
• Engage with parents and promote parent involvement.
• Implement and continuously improve educational programs and pedagogy.
• Ensure safety, health and well-being of all children.
• Represent the center in the community and build partnerships.
