Job summary

Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) seeks an accomplished operational leader to direct the safe, secure and efficient running of its airport network, building a resilient, future-ready operating model. You will translate strategic goals into actionable plans, oversee nationwide airport operations, and champion governance, safety and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.

Strong digital transformation, ESG programmes and stakeholder engagement are essential as you lead capital projects,

Qualifications

Honours degree in a related field is essential.
MBA or equivalent is advantageous.
Total of 15 years’ experience including 10 years in airport operations or general management and 5 years at executive management level.
Knowledge of SA and international aviation legislation and standards (ICAO/ACI).
Knowledge of corporate governance (King IV) and ISO standards.
Experience in large infrastructure projects and capital expenditure management.
Strong commercial and strategic business management ability and understanding of current technologies.

Responsibilities

Translate organisational goals into an operational strategy and drive performance within the strategic framework.
Direct and oversee airport operations across the ACSA network to ensure safe, secure and efficient movement of passengers and cargo.
Direct planning, development and management of ACSA’s asset portfolio in line with strategy and priorities.
Direct a culture of operational compliance, safety, security and ethics to protect the licence to operate.
Lead ACSA’s digital transformation, including smart airports technologies, cyber security and IT infrastructure.
Drive development and implementation of regulatory compliance in line with requirements.
Lead innovation, growth and ESG programmes and champion enterprise-wide transformation.
Develop and manage operational, capex and labour budgets and allocate resources for targets.
Lead safety and security compliance and manage risk exposure.
Provide direction and nurture the development of leaders for sustainable succession.
Build relationships with industry partners and government forums to position ACSA regionally and globally.
