Job summary

ATNS is seeking a visionary Chief Operations Technology Officer to lead the Operations Technology department in Bruma, Johannesburg. This role drives the OT strategy, CNS/ATM systems, and safety-critical infrastructure, ensuring availability, security and compliance across aviation operations.

You will report to the CEO, manage multi-disciplinary teams, govern high-value technology projects, and align engineering and operations with national and international standards, including King Code

Qualifications

• Masters level qualification in Business Management or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in electronic/electrical (Light Current) Engineering or equivalent.
• Registration as Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
• Formal Leadership and Business Management training as an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations Technology strategy and roadmap aligned to ATNS objectives.
• Ensure OT security, safety, governance and compliance in ATM.
• Develop OT service delivery standards and governance frameworks.
• Manage OT budget, contracts and vendor relationships.
• Provide strategic reports to EXCO, the Board and key stakeholders.
