Job summary

Western Cape Government seeks a Chief Network Technologist to implement, support and maintain networks across the department. Travel within the Western Cape is required, with a 3-year IT qualification and at least 3 years in ICT network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will lead ICT infrastructure architecture, operations, governance, and disaster recovery programs while coordinating with stakeholders and external vendors like Cisco and Huawei.

Job Purpose

The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government has an employment opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to implement, support and maintain networks and manages staff who is responsible for the implementation, support and maintenance of networks. The successful incumbent must be able to travel within the Western Cape.

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Information Technology in NQF 6; A Minimum of 3 years experience in ICT network infrastructure management, information technology or related field.

Remuneration

R 487 197- R 573 897 per annum (Salary level 9)
