Job summary

Higher Health is seeking an experienced Health Executive to define the strategic vision and lead the Clinical Unit, including mobile clinics and fleet management. You will ensure governance, regulatory compliance, and high-quality clinical delivery across sites.

Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, operational policy design, and providing leadership to medical officers, nurses, and support staff, with accountability for performance and governance standards.

Qualifications

MBChB degree required and HPCSA registration.
MBA required; Master of Medicine or MPH advantageous.
Advanced Life Support certifications; dispensing licence.
8–10 years in health management and 10 years in executive management.
South African citizenship or permanent resident; fluency in English.

Responsibilities

Define vision, values and development plans aligned to mandate.
Lead design, development, maintenance and implementation of Clinical Unit initiatives; focus on mobile clinics and fleet management.
Oversee telemedicine operations, data confidentiality and HPCSA guidelines.
Engage stakeholders and manage relationships with the Department of Health.
Deputise for the CEO and lead strategic initiatives as required.
