Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Technician to join their operations team in Paarl. This on-site role focuses on operating and maintaining process equipment, monitoring key variables, and ensuring product quality and consistency in a busy chemical facility.

You will work with a safety-focused team, perform routine instrumentation maintenance, collect samples for QC, log operations and deviations, and participate in drills and training to support safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chemical Process Technician or similar operational role.
• Experience operating and maintaining complex process machinery.
• Understanding of chemical processes and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control chemical process equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Monitor process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and levels, making adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of process instrumentation and equipment.
• Collect process samples and perform basic quality control tests to ensure product specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of process operations, deviations, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere strictly to all site safety policies and environmental regulations, participating in safety drills and training.
