Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Specialist to join our client in Centurion. This hybrid role combines on-site collaboration with remote flexibility to optimize chemical manufacturing processes while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work closely with production and R&D teams to implement process improvements, analyze data, and drive operational excellence across demanding projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in process control systems and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze plant operations to optimize performance of chemical processes.
• Implement process control strategies and troubleshoot deviations to maintain quality and yield.
• Conduct root cause analysis for process upsets and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on equipment upgrades and process modifications.
• Develop and deliver training to plant operators on new procedures and process improvements.
• Contribute to PHAs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles and safety protocols.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, both in-person and remotely.
